Packing and Preparing
Well, only 11 more days until we have another kid! BTW, my girlish figure is doing much better this time around than it was in early November 2004.
We're busy packing and buying tickets and getting paperwork in order. We're flying out May 16 at 2 am to Taipei, and then to Saigon. We arrive at about 10 am into Vietnam. That very same day, we get to go to the orphanage to get Matthew. The day after that, we have his G&R Ceremony. This "Giving and Receiving Ceremony" isn't really ceremonious. Just sign a few papers at a courthouse, and Matthew is legally ours in the eyes of the Vietnamese government. The rest of our trip will be getting his passport, visa, health check, and American immigration approval...plus a few days on at the end in Nha Trang to visit Mike's family.
I've been running on adrenaline all weekend. I can't seem to sleep much cause I'm always thinking of something else I need to remember to do. But I'm sure sleep and I will finally find each other. Hopefully before I have to worry about jetlag, too.
If anyone is still interested in giving us donated goods for the orphanage, I still have room. Gently used or new clothes, small toys, and OTC pediatric medicine would be much appreciated.
Thank you everyone for your prayers.
